About Us
Petyk Customs was started from an idea on how to make money for college. Starting with basic wooden coasters we grew to cutting boards, and serving trays shortly after. Now we have grown even further, offering custom woodworking services, building everything from dining tables and hall trees, to countertops and barn doors along with many others. Our most recent addition is a 3' x 4' CNC machine so that we can add even more customization options and expand our product offering. We continue to grow so that we can consistently provide beautiful products that hold up to the highest quality.
From the Owner:
"In the summer of 2018 I wanted to find a way to help make money for college. I had started by selling old railroad spikes that I would find along the tracks, but once I ran out of spikes I had to find something else. I had always loved working with my hands and started tinkering with woodworking in the garage. I invested all of the money I made selling spikes into buying tools and machinery. I initially started making sets of coasters, but shortly after, moved onto making cutting boards and serving trays. Once I got comfortable with the craft I started accepting custom orders at the beginning of 2019. Since then, I have had the pleasure to work on dozens of projects building a wide variety of products. I take great pride in building quality pieces at a reasonable price. My number one goal is customer satisfaction by delivering a top quality product that will last the test of time."

Our Dedication to Quality
Our dedication to quality begins with our name. Several years ago my father had mentioned to me that he trusted a company where the owner put his name on the brand. His reasoning was, whatever happens, that was your name on the business, and it would always be associated to you. He said that, in a way, people who put their name on their business believe in their product and will provide better service since it was, ultimately, their name on the line. When I started thinking of a name for what would become Petyk Customs, I remembered those wise words. I wanted to create a product and a brand that my customers can trust. One that displays quality and craftsmanship at every turn.
Over the past 5 years, we have worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. We invest in the best machines and materials to facilitate this ideal. Each and every piece is handmade using a combination of modern and traditional woodworking techniques. One of our most notable processes is the use of our antique Stanley Bedrock hand planes to join boards together and flatten large surfaces. This process allows us to get close to perfect with our modern machinery and take it all the way by hand adding a personal and unique touch to every piece.
At Petyk Customs we also only utilize only the best materials. All of our Domestic lumber is sourced locally in Pennsylvania and our exotic lumber is sustainably sourced through a company in North Carolina. This dedication to our materials allows us to produce better and higher quality products for our customers that will last a lifetime. This will ensure that there is little chance of failure due to the materials used and that your piece will continue to look great years down the road.
